Are dings & scratches removed in the refinishing process? Yes, we do all that we can to remove all imperfections. Deep pitting from rust is very difficult to remove.
Does the shaft need to be removed? Yes, it does need to be removed for refinishing. If you are sending the putter in for engraving only, the shaft may not have to be removed. Shaft work can be performed by Colbert Putter Plating for $5. We remove the shaft prior to refinishing & reinstall the original shaft when the refinishing process is completed.
Will refinishing affect the weight of the putter? You should feel no difference in the weight.
How long does the process take? Turn around time is a minimum of 4 weeks. It is
on a first come, first served basis. The actual time may be longer or shorter depending
on the amount of putters already in our system. 1-
Will the process affect the dots on the back of the putter(TeI3 putters)? No, the dots will remain white and visible.
Will the insert be plated? Yes, you will be able to see an outline of the insert. I can do the insert work so the insert will not be plated and left in it's original copper state. This is a difficult process and may not be possible on every putter.
Will the white ring around the insert be affected by the process? No, it will remain white and visible.
Can you paint the white dots or white ring? No, paint will not stay on either of these areas.
Can you remove dings? I can remove dings from the top line of the putter and other areas, as specified by you.
Can I use a combination of paint fill colors? Yes, I can paint it to your exact specifications. Be creative!!
How will the new finish affect the feel of the putter? Satin Nickel–The putter may feel a bit crisper. Black Oxide & Oil Brown–The putter may feel softer.
